Jed Industries, Inc. was formed on September 25th, 1995, as one (1) employee, Don Nye. Today we are (26) thirty-three employees servicing several industries; Steel Mill, Strip Processing, Tire, Rubber, Gear Reducers, Furnaces, Mining, Power, and Specialty Metals-just to name a few. Our sales have grown accordingly with average shipments of $280,000/month.
Our 27,000 square foot manufacturing area includes 10 jib cranes and 2 overhead cranes for efficient work in progress material handling. We have 3 large overhead doors for truck access. Our 4 acres of land allow for lots of raw material storage. We can load and unload full trucks of equipment.
Our Engineering Department specializes in strip processing equipment with over 100 years experience. We have specialized in shears, uncoiler and recoiler head design and manufacture.
Our Machine Shop is a mix of boring mills, lathes, standard machines, and full "CNC" milling equipment, as outlined in the Machine tools web page. Our machinists total 100 years of experience.
Our Assembly Department has over 40 + years of experience building complete machines. This includes all the hydraulic piping, grease piping, air piping, water piping, process piping and control wiring required. The machines are completely tested before shipment. Our Assembly Department has participated in installations and start-ups of complete projects.
Our Q/A Department is staffed full-time. All of our inspection equipment is in a clean room with temperature control. All of our equipment is traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.
